Café Árhús is located just a few steps from the camping area and the cottages on the bank of the river Ytri-Rangá. Reception is in the same building. Café Árhús offers a variety of gourmet food for the whole family. The pizzas made on the premises have been a great success and are considered by many to be among the best in Iceland. Café Árhús is an ideal eating place for the extended family since the menu offers everything from sandwiches and a light salad to steaks, not to mention our own specialty “the Árhús steak” which will just melt in the mouth along with our delicious cakes. Café Árhús places great emphasis on using as many local products as possible. For example all the beef produce comes from the butchery in Hella, all chicken products come from “Sólfugl” in Hella, all potatoes from the factory of Ţykkvabćr and eggs straight from a local farmer at Miklaholtshellir. The location of café Árhús is unique and nothing is comparable to sitting on the patio on a summer´s night with a warm cup of chocolate watching birds swimming on the river that reflects the glow of the sunset.
